Boys' soccer: Sherando 4, James Wood 0

STEPHENS CITY — Sherando clinched the second seed in next week's Class 4 Northwestern District tournament with a win over James Wood on Thursday.

The Warriors (7-7-2, 7-4-1) will get a rematch with the No. 7 Colonels (4-12, 2-10) in the first round of the district tournament on Tuesday. Fauquier (8-4 district) is the regular-season champion and No. 1 seed and has a first round bye. No. 3 Kettle Run will host No. 6 Liberty and No. 4 Handley will host No. 5 Millbrook in the first round.
