WINCHESTER — James Wood opened its season with a rout of Clarke County.
No. 1 Evan Dokken (10-1), No. 2 Noah Borromeo (10-2), No. 3 Jacob Calabrese (10-0), No. 5 Jacob Potter (10-8) and No. 6 Chase Merrick (10-5) won singles matches for the Colonels. The teams of Dokken-Borromeo (10-3), Calabrese-Austin Harney (8-2) and Trent Richards-Potter (8-0) swept the doubles.
No. 4 Matt Betz (10-4) recorded the Eagles’ lone win in singles.
