BOYS’ TENNIS - Colonels 5, Warriors 4

STEPHENS CITY — James Wood posted a pair of victories in doubles to edge Sherando in a Northwestern District match on Tuesday.

The Colonels’ No. 1 doubles team of Evan Dokken and Noah Borromeo won 10-8, and Austin Harney and Chase Messick won 11-10 (7-4) at No. 3 doubles.

Dokken (No. 1, 10-1), Borromeo (No. 2, 10-0) and Trent Richards (No. 6, 10-6) all won in singles for the Colonels (10-4).

Sherando’s Quintin DeGroot (No. 3, 10-8), Jake Baggett (No. 4, 10-5) and Jon Elkins (No. 5, 10-0) won in singles.
