Boys' Tennis: Colonels 6, Hawks 3

WINCHESTER — James Wood took two of three doubles matches to defeat Skyline in a Northwestern District match on Thursday.

James Wood’s No. 2 doubles team of Chase Messick and Stew Brondstater won 10-2, and the Colonels’ No. 3 doubles team of Trent Richards and Cole Creamer won 10-1 to clinch the match.

The Colonels also got singles wins from No. 1 Evan Dokken (10-1), No. 4 Messick (10-1), No. 5 Brondstater (10-1) and No. 6 Creamer (10-1).

James Wood (5-0) lost its first three games of the year, including its first defeat at No. 1 doubles.
