BOYS’ TENNIS - Pioneers 8, Colonels 1

WINCHESTER — Millbrook defeated James Wood in a Class 4 Northwestern District match on Monday at Millbrook.

The Pioneers (2-1, 1-0 district) received singles wins from Drake Wilfong (8-1 at No. 2), Joshua Dalton (8-4 at No. 3), Christian Hellwig (8-0 at No. 4), Tre Parks (8-0 at No. 5) and Nicholas Clippinger (8-2 at No. 6).

Nathan Wiens-Dalton (8-5 at No. 1), Wilfong-Hellwig (8-6 at No. 2) and Nick Clippinger-Jonathan Clippinger (8-3 at No. 3) won in doubles.

Noah Borromeo won the only match for the Colonels (2-2, 0-2), taking the No. 1 singles match 8-4.
