Boys' tennis: Handley 5, James Wood 0

WINCHESTER — Top-seeded Handley completed a perfect season in Class 4 Northwestern District play with a home win over No. 2 James Wood in the district tournament championship match on Thursday.

The Judges (14-3) and Colonels (12-5) will each compete in the Region 4C semifinals against Dulles District schools.

Singles winners: No. 1 Nathan Thomas 6-4, 6-1; No. 3 Jack Boye 6-4, 6-0; No. 4 Carter Bessette 6-3, 6-1; No. 5 William Brubaker 6-1, 6-2; No. 6 Geronimo Dib Ghys 6-0, 6-0.
