Boys' tennis: Sherando 8, James Wood 1

STEPHENS CITY — Sherando won all but one singles match in defeating James Wood in Class 4 Northwestern District action on Tuesday.

The Warriors are 4-0 (2-0 district).

Singles winners: Sherando: No. 2 Vishan Bhagat 8-5; No. 3 Sam Brooks 8-4; No. 4 Emmett Gannon 8-0; No. 5 Joe Jeran 8-0; No. 6 Connor Dudley 8-0. James Wood: No. 1 Josh Lucas 8-4.

Sherando doubles winners: No. 1 Greyson Foltz/Bhagat 8-4; No. 2 Brooks/Gannon 8-0; No. 3 Jeran/Justin Jensen 8-0.
