GIRLS' SOCCER - Colonels 1, Eagles 0

BEALETON- Senior midfielder Sarah Callaham slotted home a goal in the 38th minute and goalkeeper Vanessa Sousa earned her first shutout for the Colonels in a season-opening win over Liberty.

James Wood (1-0) out-shot the host Eagles 18-6 and had a strong showing on the defensive end.
