STEPHENS CITY — Sophomore Emily Denton broke a scoreless tie 15 minutes into the second half and senior Meghan Hammond added an insurance goal later on to help James Wood beat Sherando on the road Tuesday.
The Colonels (2-0-1, 1-0 Northwestern District) also got an assist from sophomore Brianna Heustis in the win over the Warriors (1-2-0, 0-1).
