James Wood Girls’ Soccer Wins District For First Time Ever

FRONT ROYAL — The James Wood girls’ soccer team clinched the Northwestern District regular season title for the first time ever with a 6-0 win over Skyline Tuesday.

The Colonels (9-3-4, 5-2-1 Northwestern District) jumped ahead 3-0 in the first half and never looked back.

Junior Alex Stanford scored three goals, Abby Lanham, Molly Farinholt and Emily Denton scored a goal each and Charlie Woods-Hulse posted the shutout in goal.
