GIRLS’ SOCCER - Colonels 3, Patriots 2, OT
STERLING — Senior Alex Stanford scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lead James Wood to a Conference 21 girls’ soccer victory over Park View Tuesday night.
Stanford scored in the first half off an assist by Neary Casebolt and the two Colonels’ players factored in all three goals.
Casebolt scored off an assist from Stanford in the second half and then Casebolt assisted on Stanford’s game-winning goal in overtime.
With the win, the Colonels improved to 2-2 overall, 1-1 conference.
