WINCHESTER — Emily Denton scored four goals to become the all-time goal scorer in James Wood girls’ soccer history as the Colonels thumped Millbrook 7-1 in Northwestern District action on Thursday.

Denton entered the contest tied with Alex Stanford, who had 45 career goals. She wasted little time getting the record and scored twice in each half. She also assisted on another goal.

Katie Padgett added two goals and two assists, while Lauren Russell also scored. Neary Casebolt, moved to the stopper position for the first time, keyed the defense, which only allowed Nikki Justice’s penalty kick. Claire Beccaccio had eight saves for the Colonels (4-4, 1-0 district). Laken Nordin stopped 15 shots for the Pioneers (2-6, 0-1 district).
