GIRLS’ SOCCER - Denton headlines All-Conference team
WINCHESTER — High-scoring James Wood forward Emily Denton is the the Conference 21 West Player of the Year in voting by the league coaches.
Denton netted an area-high 35 goals in the regular season.
Handley’s John Lynch, whose team took the top seed for the conference tournament, placed four players on the team, Katie Nerangis (F), Rachel Levinson (MF), Kara Johnson (MF) and Ruthie Rosenfeld (D).
Also making the first team are James Wood’s Katie Padgett (MF) and Neary Casebolt (D), Millbrook’s Nikki Justice (F) and Sherando’s Megan Triplett (MF), Olivia Elliott (D) and Kara Hendren (GK).
Second team selections were: Handley: Julia Ricci (F), Natalie DeArment (F), Megan Gaynor (F) and Hailey Burke (D); James Wood: Adrienne Thomas (D), Brianna Heustis (D) and Makayla Gloyd (D); Millbrook: Lauren Reed (MF) and Laken Nordin (GK); Sherando: Dreaya Somerville (D).
