GIRLS’ SOCCER - Denton honored
James Wood senior Emily Denton and Handley senior Kara Johnson were the lone area honorees as the 4A West All-Region teams were announced.
Denton, who led area public school players with 35 goals and added 12 assists, earned a first-team selection. Johnson, a midfielder who had seven goals and two assists, was an honorable mention selection.
Loudoun County’s Allyson Brown was Player of the Year and Kirk Smith was Coach of the Year.
