WINCHESTER — Hannah Max scored two goals — including the go-ahead goal with 25 minutes left — and had one assist to help Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy beat James Wood in both teams’ season openers on Monday night at Kelican Stadium.

The Patriots led 2-1 at halftime, then scored the last two goals after James Wood tied the game on a penalty kick. Also for SVCA, Leah Goben and Sarah Max had one goal each, Mariah Baihly had one assist and Rebekah Max had three saves.
