All-Region 4C Girls' Soccer
The Sherando girls’ soccer team had five total selections to lead all area schools in the All-Region 4C selections that were announced on Wednesday.
The Warriors’ first-team selections are freshman forward Kendall Lincoln (30 goals, nine assists) and junior defender Jessica Poole. Handley players who made the first team are sophomore forward Emma Ricci (32 goals, nine assists) and senior goalkeeper Amanda Kesler (eight shutouts in 18 games).
Sherando’s second-team selections are junior midfielder Sydney Hunter (four goals, seven assists), freshman midfielder Julia Hunter (three goals, three assists) and freshman defender Lizzie Campbell (one goal, two assists).
Also making the second team are Handley senior midfielder Hailey Burke (three goals, six assists) and freshman defender Jessica Alamo (seven goals, nine assists) as well as James Wood junior forward Katie Padgett (23 goals, 18 assists).
Loudoun County junior forward Taylor Kibble was named the Player of the Year and Woodgrove’s Pat Manno was named the Coach of the Year.
