Pioneers defeat James Wood 1-0

WINCHESTER- Jennifer Share's second half goal gave Millbrook's girls' soccer team a 1-0 win over visiting James Wood in a Northwestern District game Tuesday night.

Amberly Guillermo got the shutout in net for the Pioneers (10-3-1, 4-2-1).

It was Carter Smith's first game as Millbrook's interim head coach.

Smith and Millbrook Athletic Director Chris Garber each declined to comment on why second-year coach Stephanie Gladden is no longer with the team.

Garber said the change was made last week, and that Smith was named the coach for the rest of this season.

James Wood fell to 4-5-3 (2-3-1 Northwestern).
