Jessie Nolan — Handley — Junior
Nolan went 21-2 at No. 1 singles. Nolan won the Northwestern District singles title and advanced to the Region II singles semifinals. In doubles, Nolan teamed up with Kathryn Bock to post a 9-0 record and win the Northwestern District, Region II and Group AA tournaments.
Kathryn Bock — Handley — Sophomore
Bock went 19-0 at No. 2 doubles and only lost 20 games in those matches. In doubles. Bock not only went unbeaten with Nolan, but their state championship was just the third girls’ doubles title in school history and first since 2007.
Leire Froufe — Handley — Sophomore
Froufe, a transfer from Spain, went 16-1 at No. 6 singles. Froufe helped Handley win the Northwestern District regular season title and its eighth straight district tournament title.
Sparkle Kitchin — Handley — Senior
Kitchin went 14-4 at No. 3 singles. Kitchin helped the Judges advance to the Region II semifinals.
Fae Schweitzer — James Wood — Sophomore
Schweitzer went just 4-9 at No, 1 singles overall, but she went 3-5 against Northwestern District competition to earn the third seed in the district singles tournament.
Sarah Wolfe — Sherando — Senior
Wolfe went 16-3 at No. 1 singles, losing twice to Nolan and beating her once. Wolfe (52-19 career) was a Northwestern District singles finalist and Region II singles quarterfinalist. She was also a district doubles finalist and Region II quarterfinalist.
