STEPHENS CITY — James Wood notched five wins in singles to clinch a victory over Sherando in a Northwestern District girls’ tennis match on Wednesday.
The Colonels’ Fae Schweitzer (No. 1, 10-2), Kelsey Nicely (No. 2, 10-2), Ashley Hillyard (No. 3, 10-8), Allie Cooper (No. 5, 10-6) and Kaitlyn Vadell (No. 6, 10-5) all won in singles.
Sherando’s Karen Cornejo (No. 4, 10-5) posted the Warriors’ lone win in singles.
