Girls’ Tennis - Warriors 6, Colonels 3

WINCHESTER — Sherando swept all three doubles matches in defeating James Wood in a Northwestern District match Tuesday.

The Warriors (7-3, 3-1 Northwestern) received wins from Abigale Lukens and Abigail Sears at No. 1 (10-7), Olivia Scott and Alisa van de Crommert at No. 2 (10-4) and Maria Acosta and Meredith Gregg at No. 3 (10-7).

Sears won 11-10 (7-5) at No. 2 singles, van de Crommert won 10-4 at No. 2, and Acosta won 10-7 at No. 3.

For James Wood (3-5, 2-2), Fae Schweitzer won 11-10 (7-2) at No. 1 singles, Katie Schott won 10-6 at No. 3, and Clarissa Nicely won 10-5 at No. 6.
