GIRLS’ TENNIS - Pioneers 5, Colonels 4

WINCHESTER — Millbrook captured two of three doubles matches to net a victory over James Wood on Wednesday.

With the match tied 3-3 after singles, the Pioneers (11-4) got doubles victories from No. 1 Annie Cebrzynski-Kyle Buza (8-0) and No. 2 Allie Vilchez-Shanna Marin-Pierce (8-5) to clinch the win. No. 1 Cebrzynski (8-1), No. 2 Buza (8-2) and No. 3 Marin-Pierce (8-3) had singles wins for Millbrook. The Colonels received singles triumphs from No. 4 Lily Kimble (8-1), No. 5 Morgan Burner (8-3) and No. 6 Courtney Dyer (8-2). Burner and Dyer won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
