GIRLS’ TENNIS - Judges 5, Colonels 2

WINCHESTER — Third-seeded Handley won four singles and one doubles match to defeat No. 6 James Wood in the Conference 21 West quarterfinals on Friday.

The Judges (11-4) will play at No. 2 Millbrook (11-4) on Monday in the semifinals.

Meredith Watts (6-2, 6-0 at No. 1), Olivia Truban (6-0, 6-0 at No. 2), Josie Sydnor (6-0, 6-3 at No. 3), Saloni Sabatino (6-3, 6-1 at No. 6) won in singles for Handley, and Emma Capitano and Laurel Griffin clinched the win with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.

Winning for James Wood (4-10) was Lily Kimble (7-6, 6-1 at No. 4) and Morgan Burner (6-4, 6-3 at No. 5).
