GIRLS' TENNIS - Colonels 5, Eagles 4

WINCHESTER — James Wood won four singles matches and got an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles from Lily Kimble and Taylin Crosen to squeeze out a win against Clarke County in the season-opener for both teams on Tuesday.

No. 1 Kimble (8-2) and No. 2 Crosen (8-3) also won singles matches. No. 3 Morgan Burner (8-5) and No. 4 Katelyn Harris (9-7) also triumphed for the Colonels.

No. 5 Barbara Fairbanks (8-1) and No. 6 Reagan Johnson (8-4) won singles matches for the Eagles. No. 2 Anne Herndon-Maria Vinson (8-2) and No. 3 Fairbanks-Julia Callendar (8-4) captured doubles wins.
