GIRLS’ TENNIS - Pioneers 6, Colonels 3

WINCHESTER — Millbrook won all three doubles matches in defeating James Wood in a Class 4 Northwestern District match at James Wood on Monday.

For the Pioneers (2-0, 1-0 district), Cecilia Cress and Zoe Ackerman won 8-5 at No. 1, Shana Marin-Pierce and Christina Gutilla won 8-2 at No. 2 and Audrey Hoffman and Olivia Escalante won 8-6 at No. 3.

Singles winners for Millbrook were Cress at No. 1 (8-3), Ackerman at No. 4 (8-5) and Hoffman at No. 5 (9-7).

James Wood (3-1, 1-1) received wins from No. 2 Taylin Crosen (9-7), No. 3 Morgan Burner (9-7) and No. 6 Savannah Keller. Millbrook and James Wood had different scores for Keller’s match.
