Girl's Tennis - Eagles 5, Colonels 4

BERRYVILLE — Clarke County earned a season split with James Wood with a win on Monday.

The Eagles (3-2) won two of three doubles matches to emerge on top, with the No. 2 doubles team of Anne Herndon and Maria Vinson clinching the victory with an 8-6 win. Clarke County’s No. 3 team of Barbara Fairbanks and Julia Callender won 8-4.

Singles winners for the Eagles were No. 4 Katie Crandall (8-6), No. 5 Fairbanks (8-6) and No. 6 Reagan Johnson (8-3).

James Wood winners were No. 1 Lily Kimble (8-2 at No. 1), Taylin Crosen (8-2 at No. 2) and Katelyn Harris (8-5 at No. 3). Kimble-Crosen won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.
