Girls' tennis: Sherando 7, James Wood 2

WINCHESTER — Sherando remained unbeaten as the Warriors knocked off James Wood in Class 4 Northwestern District action on Friday.

Sherando (8-0) won five of six singles matches to clinch the win.

Singles winners: Sherando No. 1 Katie Freilich 8-2; No. 2 Gabriella Koch 8-3; No. 3 Nya Patten 8-1; No. 4 Madison Cowden 8-4; No. 6 Sophia Kemp 8-4. James Wood: No. 5 Marley Baxter 9-7.

Doubles winners: Sherando: No. 2 Leah Zarasczak-Kemp 8-1; No. 3 Addyson Kelly-Alivia Carper 8-1. James Wood: No. 1 Sydney Delawder-Violet Quodola 8-1.
