WINCHESTER- James Wood improved to 2-8 with a non-district victory over visiting Musselman (W.Va.) on Monday.

In singles, Headley Wilson (No. 1), Tarah Wampler (No. 2), Fae Schweitzer (No. 3), Emily Purnell (No. 4) and Rachel Sours (No. 6) all dropped five games or less in winning, while Holly Landes (No. 5) pulled out a 7-2 tiebreak verdict to win 11-10.
