Eagles 5, Colonels 4

WINCHESTER- Clarke County's girls' tennis team won two of three doubles matches to edge host James Wood in a non-district match Thursday.

Sophia Neuber and Clara Thiel won at No. 2 doubles for the Eagles, and Lauren Daniels teamed with Amanda Gordon for a victory at No. 3 doubles.

Neuber (No. 4), Thiel (No. 5) and Gordon (No. 6) also won singles matches.

James Wood got victories from Headley Wilson (No. 1), Tarah Wampler (No. 2), Fae Schweitzer (No. 3) and the No. 1 doubles team of Wilson and Wampler.
