Wilson reaches singles final
CHARLOTTESVILLE- James Wood senior Headley Wilson advanced to today's 11 a.m. Region II singles final after defeating Western Albemarle's Emily Kochard (6-2, 6-2) and Potomac Falls' Hannah Greenwood (6-0, 6-0) Tuesday at the Boar's Head Inn.
Wilson and Tarah Wampler also advanced to the doubles semifinals - to be played at 1 p.m. today - with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Brentsville.
The James Wood duo will face Sunnie Lampil and Lucia Jacangelo of Woodgrove in the semifinals.
Handley's doubles team of Jessie Nolan and Kathryn Bock also advanced to the semifinals with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Fauquier.
The doubles final will follow the semifinals at approximately 3 p.m.
