WINCHESTER — James Wood could not solve Fauquier starting pitcher Sarah Kleinfeiter, striking out 11 times and totaling just two hits in a non-district loss Friday.
The Colonels (4-7) simply could not keep up with the Falcons. Sophomore pitcher Kierstyn Peacoe took the loss, allowing seven hits and five runs over seven innings while striking out four.
