Sarah Herndon — Clarke — Junior — Pitcher
A first team All-Region B selection and the Bull Run District Pitcher of the Year, Herndon led the area in both earned-run average (1.04) and strikeouts, setting a new Clarke single-season record with 263 strikeouts in 162 innings. She also broke the single-season win record, going 22-4. Herndon, The Winchester Star’s Player of the Year, also ranked second on her team hitting .414 with 24 RBIs, nine doubles and five runs scored.
Courtney Reid— Sherando — Junior — Pitcher
Earning first team All-Northwestern District honors, Reid went 11-9 with a 3.30 ERA for the Warriors, ranking second in the area in both wins and strikeouts (127). She also hit .438 with a team-high 29 RBIs and 13 doubles. Reid led the team with a .767 slugging percentage and also scored nine runs, helping the Warriors reach the Region II tournament.
Haley Miles — Sherando — Junior — Catcher
A second-team All-Northwestern District selection, Miles hit .357 with three doubles. She also played solid defense behind the plate, helping the Warriors finish as the district runner-up and advance to the Region II Tournament.
Morgan Sykes — James Wood — Senior — Infielder
Sykes, a first team All-Northwestern District selection, ranked second in the area hitting .460. She also scored 13 runs and had 10 RBIs. Sykes had six extra-base hits, including three doubles, two triples and a home run, and led the team with a .550 on-base average.
Helen Good — Clarke — Junior — Infielder
Earning first team All-Region B and Bull Run District honors, Good hit .325 with 26 RBIs and 23 runs. She also had seven doubles and nine stolen bases, helping Clarke County earn its first Group A state tournament berth.
Kennedy Rothemich — Sherando — Senior — Infielder
Rothemich led Sherando hitting .458 (33 for 72) with 28 RBIs, 11 doubles and 14 runs scored to earn first team All-Northwestern District honors. She had a .694 slugging percentage and led the Warriors with a .473 on-base percentage.
Kaitlyn Hendershot — Millbrook — Senior — Infielder
Anchoring the Pioneers’ infield from the shortstop position, Hendershot earned second team All-Northwestern District honors. She hit .328 with 12 runs, nine RBIs and 10 (seven doubles, three triples) of her 21 hits went for extra bases.
Olivia Gore — Clarke — Junior — Outfielder
Gore, the Bull Run District Player of the Year, led the Eagles in just about every offensive category, including an area-best batting average (.566), RBIs (38), runs (35), doubles (10), on-base percentage (.691), and slugging percentage (.771). Gore also anchored the Eagles’ outfield, displaying great range in center field.
Katie Seymour — Sherando — Junior — Outfielder
Seymour, a first team All-Northwestern District pick, hit .424 with nine RBIs and 13 runs scored. She had four doubles and six stolen bases, and she also displayed good range defensively in left field.
Megan Rion — Clarke — Junior — Outfielder
A first team All-Bull Run District and second team All-Region B selection, Rion hit .390 with 31 runs, 19 stolen bases 14 RBIs, helping the Eagles go unbeaten in the Bull Run District and reach the Group A Division 2 state quarterfinals.
Kierstyn Peacoe — James Wood — Sophomore — Utility
Peacoe earned second team All-Northwestern District honors, but her all-around ability was key for the Colonels. She hit .400 and led the team in runs (15), RBIs (18) and slugging percentage (.683). She also was Wood’s No. 1 pitcher, going 7-11 with a 3.29 ERA with 120 strikeouts in 113 innings.
Sydney Barr — Millbrook — Sophomore — Utility
Earning first team All-Northwestern District honors, Barr had a team-high 26 hits from the lead-off spot and hit .347. She also tied for a team-best with 16 runs, and she also had 12 RBIs and seven doubles.
