SOFTBALL: Applemen 11, Colonels 3

INWOOD — James Wood saw its three-game winning streak snapped in a non-district loss to Musselman (W.Va.) on the road Monday.

The Colonels (3-4) scored twice in the top half of the first inning on RBIs from senior Rachael Largent and junior Jessy Shipman, but it was all Applemen from there.

Musselman totaled 14 hits and had a pair of 3-run home runs in the rout. James Wood pulled Peacoe, who started in the circle, after two innings to get prepare for today’s Northwestern District matchup with Handley.
