Softball - Colonels 3, Raiders 1

LEESBURG — James Wood defeated Loudoun County in a Conference 21 game Tuesday.

The Colonels (3-0, 1-0 Conference 21) were led by freshman Lani Spielman (1-0), who started and pitched four shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out six to earn her first career varsity win. Lauren King earned the save by pitching the last three innings, scattering three hits while striking out two.

Leading the Colonels at the plate was Courteney Harper (double, two walks and an RBI), Lindsey Anderson (2-4 with an RBI), and Taylor Rizzari (double, RBI).
