SOFTBALL - Colonels 22, Judges 1

WINCHESTER — Courteney Harper hit for the cycle, including a grand slam home run, and drove in six runs to lead James Wood’s Northwestern District softball victory over Handley that was shortened to five innings because of the 10-run rule on Friday night.

Lauren Gates went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, and Kenzie Garrett and Taylor Woolsey each went 2 for 4 for James Wood.

Lindsey Anderson also homered for James Wood.

Colonels pitcher Lani Spielman pitched four innings, allowing two hits while striking out five. Lauren King pitched the final inning, striking out two.
