SOFTBALL - Colonels 7, Cardinals 6

WINCHESTER — James Wood defeated Spring Mills (W.Va.) in a non-district game Monday.

Lauren King struck out five batters in four innings of relief and hit a two-run home run for the Colonels (10-4). Overall at the plate, King went 2 for 3 with two runs. Kenzie Garrett also hit a two-run home run in going 3 for 3, and Lindsey Anderson went 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and run.
