STERLING — Lani Spielman pitched a complete game as James Wood defeated Dominion in Conference 21 action Monday.
The Colonels (11-4, 3-1 Conference 21) scored four runs in the first inning and led 7-1 after five innings.
Spielman (5-3) allowed eight hits and struck out six batters, Kenzie Garrett went 3 for 4, Lindsey Anderson went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, and Laura Gates went 2 for 3.
