Softball - All-Conference 21 West team named

WINCHESTER — James Wood High School placed four players on the All-Conference 21 West first team.

Pitcher Lani Spielman, catcher Lindsey Anderson, shortstop Coureney Harper and outfielder Taylor Woolsey received the honors for the Colonels.

Third baseman Lexi Schlag and outfielder Dani Edmonds made the squad from Sherando as did Handley’s Meghan Stokes as a utility player.

Handley’s David Stokes, who led the Judges to a 2-14 mark in the regular season, was named Coach of the Year,

Second team selections were: Handley: Gabby Mammano (IF) and Lizzy Beaudoin (OF); James Wood: Alyssa Brown (IF) and Lauren King (P); Millbrook: Katie Tirona (IF); Sherando: Korenn Paige (IF), River Baird (OF), Niki Marshall (OF), Sarah Marshall (C) and Marissa Webb (P, Utility).
