Softball: James Wood 7, Millbrook 3

WINCHESTER -- James Wood put together a string of hits in the fifth inning to rally past the Pioneers in Northwestern District action.

The Colonels trailed 2-0 entering the fifth inning, but aided five consecutive hits put together a six-run inning. Morgan McCarthy went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Colonels (2-3, 1-3 Northwestern). Whitney Dennis went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Carly Lewis was 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Amanda Morrison picked up the win and also went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
