Softball: Hawks 9, Colonels 2

Front Royal — Julie Shifflett went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs to lead Skyline’s Northwestern District victory over James Wood.

Shifflett provided the key hit in the Hawks’ five-run fifth inning, driving in a pair of runs with a single.

Kaitlin Robinson went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Mandy Poe went 2-for-3 for Skyline (4-4, 4-1).

Skyline’s Amanda Litwin pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits and recording three strikeouts.
