Softball: King fires James Wood past Millbrook

WINCHESTER — Lauren King tossed a three-hit shutout as James Wood blanked Millbrook 7-0 in a Conference 21 West and Northwestern District softball matchup on Wednesday.

King struck out nine in the triumph.

Courteney Harper (2 for 3) belted a home run and was one of four Colonels with two hits. Rebecca Boone had a perfect day at the plate, going 2 for 2 with two walks and three RBIs. Lindsey Anderson, who smacked a double and drove in two runs, and King each went 2 for 4.
