All-Area Softball First Team
Lauren King
Wood — Junior — Pitcher
Tied for team-best batting average (.500) with a team-high 25 RBIs and 17 runs. In the pitcher’s circle, tied for the area lead in victories (going 10-1) and earned-run average (1.41) and ranked second in the area in strikeouts (93). 4A West Region honorable mention and 1st team All-Conference 21 West. Has given a verbal commitment to Quinnipiac University.
Megan Hicks
Clarke — Junior — Pitcher
Led the area with 115 strikeouts in 962/3 innings and tied for the area lead in victories (going 10-7). Also had a 2.61 ERA. Ranked second on her team hitting .419 with 18 RBIs and a team-best 27 runs. Led Clarke with five home runs and ranked second on team with nine stolen bases. Second team All-2A East Region and first team All-Bull Run District and Conference 35.
Lindsey Anderson
Wood — Junior — Catcher
Tied for the team lead with a .500 batting average with a team-best 30 RBIs. Also had three homers, an area-best 13 doubles in helping the Colonels reach the 4A West Region tournament. Second team 4A West Region and first team Conference 21 West.
Korenn Paige
Sherando — Junior — Infielder
Led Sherando hitting .423 and ranked second on team in RBIs (17) and runs (24). Also had two triples and eight doubles. 4A West Region honorable mention and first team Conference 21 West.
Lani Spielman
Wood — Junior — Infielder
Hit .443 with 24 RBIs, six doubles and 7 RBIs. Posted an 8-2 record with a 2.77 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 502/3 innings in the pitcher’s circle. Second team Conference 21 West at both infielder and pitcher.
Courteney Harper
Wood — Senior — Infielder
Hit .493 with 17 RBIs and an area-best 30 runs and area-high five triples. 4A West Region honorable mention and first team Conference 21 West.
Tori Seymour
Sherando — Junior — Infielder
Hit .375 and led the Warriors in both RBIs (23) and runs (25). Hit five homers and had 10 doubles. First team Conference 21 West.
Jade Feltner
Clarke — Junior — Outfielder
Hit .419 with 17 RBIs and 15 runs. In the pitcher’s circle, went 6-0 with a 2.01 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 451/3 innings. Second team 2A East Region and First team Conference 35 and Bull Run District.
Blake Conner
Sherando — Freshman — Outfielder
Batted .414 with 15 RBIs, 21 runs and a team-high 11 doubles. Also tied for team-high with eight stolen bases. First team Conference 21 West.
Dani Bloomingdale
Clarke — Senior — Outfielder
Hit .354 with 14 RBIs and 23 runs. Led team in triples (3) and stolen bases (11). First team 2A East Region, Conference 35 and Bull Run District. Will play at Concord University next season.
Meghan Stokes
Handley — Sophomore Utility
Led Handley in batting average (.489), RBIs (15), runs (16), home runs (2) and triples (3). In the pitcher’s circle, led Judges in victories (5) and strikeouts (74).First team Conference 21 West.
Chelsea Trenary
Clarke — Junior — Utility
Led Clarke in batting average (.444), RBIs (an area-best 33) and ranked third on her team in runs (22). Also hit four homers, six doubles and had eight stolen bases. Second team 2A East Region and first team Bull Run District and Conference 35.
Ivy Rosenberry
Millbrook — Freshman — Utility
Led the area batting .594 with a team-best 19 RBIs. Also drove in 14 runs with a team-high 9 doubles. In the pitcher’s circle, struck out 46 in 30 2/3 innings. First team Conference 21 West as a designated player and 2nd team at pitcher.
