SOFTBALL - Colonels 9, Pioneers 2

WINCHESTER — Lani Spielman went 3 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs to lead James Wood to a Class 4 Northwestern District win over Millbrook on Thursday.

Spielman also pitched three innings of one-hit, shutout relief. She struck out five batters.

The Colonels (7-2, 4-1 district) were also led by Ivy Rosenberry (four innings, two runs, six strikeouts), Lindsey Anderson (2 for 3, home run, three RBIs), Rebecca Boone (2 for 4, double, home run, two RBIs), Camryn Rizzari (3 for 4) and Haley Kaiser (3 for 4 with a double).
