WARRENTON — Cadence Rieg allowed zero earned runs, three hits, two walks and struck out five batters in a complete game as James Wood opened its season with a win over Fauquier on Wednesday.
James Wood led 2-1 after one inning as a result of a two-run home run by Skyla Compton (2 for 3, double, two runs), and added a run in the sixth.
