FRONT ROYAL -- Skyline High School pitcher Sarah Beamer was sensational in the circle and at the plate on Thursday, helping the Hawks to a 5-1 win over James Wood in Northwestern District softball.

Beamer went the distance against the Colonels, striking out nine batters and allowing just one unearned run. Meanwhile, the freshman went 3-for-3 with a double and a triple at the plate, while teammate Taylor Henry went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Kaitlin Robinson went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
