WINCHESTER- Seniors Marissa Messer and Katy Spencer each scored in the first half as James Wood beat visiting Sherando in a Northwestern District match Tuesday.
Messer scored in the 28th minute, and Spencer added her tally in the 36th.
Senior goalkeeper Kaleigh Fincham made 12 saves for the Colonels (4-3-3, 2-2-1).
