TRACK: Colonels boys, girls take 2nd

BROADWAY — James Wood’s boys’ and girls’ teams each took second in a quad meet Wednesday at Broadway High School.

The James Wood boys scored 74.5 points to finish behind host Broadway (91.33), and the James Wood girls scored 74.5 points to finish just behind Turner Ashby (77.5).

In the boys’ meet, Colonels winners were Anthony Ingle in the long jump (18-8) and triple jump (40-11), Dylan Wilson in the 800 meters (2:12), Joe Davet in the 1,600 (4:52.7), Jacob Sunderlin in the 3,200 (11:54.60) and Joey Bynog in the discus (142-7).

In the girls’ meet, Colonels winners were Katie Houser in the high jump (5-2) and triple jump (31-11), Laura Seymour in the 400 (1:08.6), Madeline Long in the 1,600 (5:55.7), and the 4x400 team (4:43.3).
