Colonels sweep Hawks

WINCHESTER — James Wood swept a Northwestern District dual meet with Skyline Wednesday, with the boys winning 85-36 and the girls winning 88-28.

The Colonel boys were led by four-event winner Sawyer Michelitch. He won the 100 in 11.88, the 200 in 24.5, the 400 in 55.3, and the long jump with a mark of 19-11¹/₂. Others who won two events for the James Wood boys were Danny Aldstadt (the 1,600 in 4:43 and the 3,200 in 10:10.3), Owen Bales (the 300 hurdles in 43.8 and the high jump, 5-6) and Logan Shiffler (the shot put, 40-2, and the discus, 118-5).

The James Wood girls had two people win multiple events. Noelle Schoeman took the 200 (28.7), the 100 hurdles (18.4) and the 300 hurdles (50.4) and Brittany Arnold won the 1,600 in 5:52.20 and the 3,200 in 12:46.80).
