James Wood, Warriors Split Track Dual

WINCHESTER — James Wood and Sherando split Wednesday’s Northwestern District dual track meet at Kelican Stadium.

The James Wood girls won 73-59, and Sherando’s boys won 84-46.

Sherando’s Jacquari Hayes won the high jump (5 feet, six inches), the long jump (19-6) and triple jump (39-11/2) and teammate David Restrepo won both the 200-meter dash (24.70 seconds) and the 400 (53.90).

James Wood’s Rene Rosso won the 300 hurdles (51.30), the triple jump (32-81/2), the long jump (14-11), the high jump (4-10) and teamed with Kara Norman, Kayla Shaffer and Jamie Marcy on the Colonels’ winning 4x400 relay team (4:33.80).

Katie Rogers swept the 800 (2:36.10) and 1,600 (5:40.50) to pace Sherando.
