BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD - Last Chance Invitational
WINCHESTER — Millbrook junior Nazeeh Johnson won the 100 meters and the long jump to lead all local athletes Friday at the Millbrook Last Chance Invitational.
No team scores were kept at the 16-team event that included all five local high schools.
Johnson recorded a time of 11.72 seconds in the 100 and a mark of 21 feet, 4 ¼ inches in the long jump. Johnson also took third in the 200 (23..77) and teamed with Josh Davis, Gabe Quecedo and Antwon Rodgers to tie for second in the 4x100 (44.78).
Austin Devart (first in the 110 hurdles, 16.41), Cameron Faint (second in the 300 hurdles, 41.82; third in the 110 hurdles, 16.85) and Quecedo (third in the 100, 11.98) also led Millbrook.
For Sherando, Trevor Whiteside took first in the 3,200 (9:54.72) and teamed with Thomas Shea, Jonah Pearson and Jahlil Northover to take first in the 4x800 (8:09.45). Jacquari Hayes placed first in the triple jump (39-8 ½) and third in the long jump (20-9). Pearson took second in the 3,200 (9:54.97), Thomas Powars took third in the 1,600 (4:34.40) and the 4x400 team took third in 3:40.30.
For Handley, Zach Foote took first in the 300 hurdles (41.54) and Marquaye Jackson placed first in the shot put (47-1). D.J. Frisby took second in the 100 (11.74), Aaron Arslan took second in the 800 (1:58.70), Jarett Cestaro took second in 200 (23.61) and the 4x100 team of Michael Felder, Justin Washington, Dominique Glover and Frisby tied for second (44.78)
For James Wood, Andrew Shade took first in the 800 (1:58.45) and Landon Rutherford placed third in the shot put (45-10).
Clarke County’s Justin Dulaney placed third in the 400 (52.82).
