Tyler Cox-Philyaw

Millbrook — Senior — Distance

At the Group 4A meet, Cox-Philyaw won the 1,600 for the area’s only boys’ state title and placed sixth in the 800 (all-state). 4A West Region: 5th in the 800. Conference 21 West: 1st in the 1,600, 2nd in the 800. Posted area’s No. 2 times in the 800 (1:56.78), 1,600 (4:18.54) and 3,200 (9:32.35) and No. 3 in 400 (52.22). Will run at William & Mary next year.

Trevor Whiteside

Sherando — Senior — Distance

Whiteside posted area’s top times in the 800 (1:51.95) and 1,600 (4:18.45). Group 4A meet: 2nd in 1,600 (all-state), No. 2 seed for 800 but unable to run because of storm on original day and prior plans on makeup day; 4A West Region: 1st in 1,600; Conference 21 West: 1st in 800, 2nd in 1,600. Ran on 4x800 team that placed 3rd in state meet. Will run at Air Force.

Thomas Shea

Sherando — Senior — Distance

Posted area’s No. 3 time in the 800 (1:57.43). Group 4A state meet: 12th in the 3,200 (9:57.55), storm on original day, illness on makeup day prevented him from running 800; 4A West Region: 6th in 800; Conference 21 West: 2nd in 3,200, 4th in 1,600 (4:27.04). Ran on 4x800 team that placed 3rd in state meet (7:58.60).

Jacquari Hayes

Sherando — Junior — Jumps, Sprints

Hayes posted the area’s top marks in the triple jump (44-31/2) and 200 (23.20) and the No. 2 marks in the 100 (11.47) and long jump (21-10). Group 4A state meet: 11th in TJ, 21st LJ; Conference 21 West: 1st in TJ, 100 and 200, 2nd in LJ, tied for fourth in high jump (5-6).

Antwon Rodgers

Millbrook — Junior — Jumps

At the Group 4A meet, Rodgers placed fifth in the long jump (all-state). Posted the area’s No. 2 mark in the triple jump (43-41/2) and No. 3 mark in the LJ (21-71/2). 4A West Region meet: 11th in LJ, 7th in TJ; Conference 21 West: 2nd in TJ, 3rd in LJ, also took 4th in 100.

Josh Davis

Millbrook — Junior — Sprints

Davis posted the area’s top time in the 400 (51.91), the No. 2 time in the 200 (23.21) and the No. 3 time in the 100 (11.50). 400: 8th in the 4A West Region, 3rd in Conference 21 West; 200: 2nd in C21 West; 100: 3rd in C21 West.

Michael Dietz

Clarke — Senior —
Middle Distance

In the 800, placed 2nd at the Group 2A meet (2:01.72, all-state), 2nd in the 2A East Region and 1st in Conference 35. In the 400, placed 3rd in C35 (53.37). Ran on the 4x800 team that placed fifth in Group 2A (8:36.44, all-state).

Austin Devart

Millbrook — Senior — Hurdles

Devart posted the area’s No. 2 times in the 110 hurdles (15.33) and the 300 hurdles (41.30). 110H: 20th in Group 4A state meet, 4th in 4A West Region, 2nd in Conference 21 West; 300H: 10th in Group 4A, 6th in 4A West, 4th in C21 West.

Cameron Faint

Millbrook — Junior — Hurdles

Faint posted the area’s fastest times in the 110 hurdles (15.14) and 300 hurdles (39.26). 300H: 4th in Group 4A (all-state) 1st in 4A West Region, 1st in Conference 21 West; 110H: 14th in Group 4A, 2nd in 4A West, 1st in C21 West.

Alec Schrank

Millbrook — Junior — Distance

Posted area’s best time in the 3,200 (9:22.25) and No. 3 time in the 1,600 (4:19.64). Group 4A meet: 5th in 3,200 (all-state); 4A West Region: 2nd in 1,600, 7th in 800; Conference 21 West: 1st in 3,200, 3rd in 1,600.

Posted area’s best mark in the long jump (21-103/4). Placed 9th in Group 4A state meet, 7th in 4A West Region and 1st in Conference 21 West. Placed 4th in triple jump at C21 West meet (40-71/2) and 4th in 200.

Isaiah Allen

Sherando — Freshman — Throws

Allen posted the area’s top shot put mark (51-11/2). Placed 4th at the Group 4A meet (all-state), 3rd in the 4A West Region and 1st in Conference 21 West. In the discus, placed third in C21 West (130-3).

Trey Causey

Handley — Sophomore — Jumps

Causey posted the area’s top mark in the high jump (6-4). Placed 6th at the Group 4A meet (all-state), 5th in the 4A West Region and 2nd in Conference 21 West.

John Delaney

Handley — Sophomore — Distance

Delaney posted the area’s No. 3 time in the 3,200 (9:49.93). Placed 11th at the Group 4A state meet and 2nd in the 4A West Region. In the 1,600, placed fifth in Conference 21 West (4:27.99).

Alex Martinez

Sherando — Senior — Throws

Martinez posted the area’s top mark in the discus (134-1). Placed 12th at the Group 4A state meet, 4th in the 4A West Region and 2nd in Conference 21 West.
